Systems Engineer - Fortinet

TD SYNNEX San José, San José Province (Onsite) Full-Time

Job Purpose:

The Systems Engineer (SE) role focuses on the pre-sales design of technology solutions in support of our partners and sales teams. The SE will create technology solutions that meet end-user business requirements. The SE will collaborate with coworkers and partners, providing pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities. Additionally, the SE will deliver technical presentations to resellers and coworkers. The SE will possess technical skills, hold basic technical certifications, including NSE certifications, and be able to explain the value of recommended solutions through strong presentation skills.

What You'll Do:

  • Deliver technical presentations to resellers and coworkers on current vendor products and offers.

  • Provide consultative advice to partners on scoping and designing complex solutions by communicating clearly and concisely with the partner and their end user.

  • Design single and multi-vendor solutions and/or configurations that meet customer requirements, recognizing customers' business needs and translating them into technology solutions.

  • Build key working relationships with internal business development, product management, and sales teams.

  • Stay current on relevant competitive solutions, products, ecosystem solutions, and services through attending training and achieving vendor and industry certifications, including NSE certifications.

What We're Looking For:

  • +1 years of relevant work experience.

  • Technical certifications with multiple vendors as well as industry certifications, including NSE certifications, are preferred.

  • Able to converse and write effectively in English.

  • Able to interact effectively with higher levels of management (managers and above).

  • Ability to execute instructions and request clarification when needed.

  • Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Able to communicate clearly and convey necessary information.

  • Able to create and conduct formal presentations.

  • Understands, communicates, and collaborates effectively with people across various identities.

  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

  • Able to adjust readily to change and adapt as needed.

  • Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Able to quickly learn/adapt to new systems and technology.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.

  • On-call availability required as necessary.

  • Professional, office environment.

  • Local (in-country) travel required.
