Payroll Reporting Specialist

Maxim Crane Works Wilder, KY (Onsite) Full-Time


Purpose



The Payroll Reporting Specialist is responsible for overseeing the organization’s weekly and monthly reporting of payroll to ensure that we stay up to date and within compliance with the projects. This includes Certified Payroll, OCIP and CCIP, plus any additional reporting. Reporting to the National Payroll Manager, this position would work hand in hand with the payroll and union teams to ensure efficient and effective processing of payments that meet the federal, state, and local regulations. This is a hybrid position, and can be located at either of our corporate offices in Wilder, KY or Canonsburg, PA.



A Payroll Reporting Specialist is responsible for but not limited to the following:


• Meticulously track and report employee wages, hours, job classification, and other relevant details for our federal, state, local projects
• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage law by submitting accurate payroll reports to the appropriate agency
• Monitor and verify employee timesheets to ensure accurate recording of hours worked.
• Collaborate with the payroll team, branch managers, and union team to ensure accurate information is being reported.
• Work with agencies and outside departments on discrepancies, concerns, or inquires
• Thoroughly understand and apply prevailing wage regulations to accurately calculate wages for each employee based on their job.
• Works on special projects to help achieve the objectives of the department.
• Participate in performance management and leadership development.
• Other duties as time and training permit



Requirements



Education:


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent work experience required.

Experience:


• At least two years of progressive work-related experience preferred
• Experience with HRIS and Payroll systems (UKG, ADP, Workday, or similar)
• Experience working in a construction and/or union-based environment

Skills


• Moderate level communication skills, must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos and the ability to write simple correspondence
• Moderate level proficiency in MS applications
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions during high pressure situations
• Advanced level multitasking skills with ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of the Davis Bacon Act
