Facilities Maintenance- Industrial Washdown Crew Member

Arconic is currently in search of Facilities Maintenance Industrial Washdown Crew Member to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Primary Responsibilities 

• Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment during PMs and outages
  • Using wash rigs and other hand tools
  • Applicants must be comfortable working at elevated heights and in confined space
• Basic repair, adjustment and maintenance of plant facilities, buildings, grounds and associated equipment / devices, to include:
  • Minor plumbing maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by departments. 
  • Assist with floor repairs.
  • Assist with building improvement projects. 
• Basic Carpentry tasks, to include:
  • Build skids, boxes, trays, steps, shelves
  • Hang boards, signs, and install cabinets
  • Fabricating windows for mobile equipment
• Operate multiple types of mobile equipment to facilitate plant housekeeping duties and the processing of facility waste

Schedule:  This position is primarily day shift (Monday-Friday) with the possibility of some weekend and night work.

Internal Candidates:  This position has the potential after completing required training and demonstrating competency to promote into a craft grade 6.  

Basic Qualifications 

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications 

• Minimum 4 months of combined maintenance and repair experience performing related tasks such as: carpentry, roofing, flooring, masonry, roadways, overhead doors
• Vocational Training in a related field
• Associates Degree in a Technical Discipline
