Senior Quality Manager

Tenneco Gliwice, Województwo Śląskie (Onsite) Full-Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Manager to join our dynamic and innovative team located in Gliwice, Poland.

Mode: hybrid (3/2 HO per week)

The Senior Quality Manager oversees Customer and Supplier Quality, implementing quality plans to establish Quality Strategy and a “Zero Defects Quality Culture.” This role coordinates cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain customer problem-solving processes and solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer Complaints Management: Lead customer complaints management and ensure timely resolution using methodologies like EPS, 8D, A3, Six Sigma.

  • Compliance and Liaison: Ensure customer requirement compliance and liaise with vendors.

  • Quality Management System:  Create, maintain, and update the QMS.

  • Improvement Efforts: Determine and implement strategies for DRiV Aftermarket QMS improvements.

  • Management Review: Coordinate and present management review activities.

  • Quality Initiatives: Drive Quality Strategic and “Zero Defects Quality Culture” projects.

  • Best Practices: Implement validated lessons learned across the MP business group.

  • Performance Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present quality performance reports. Develop improvement plans as needed.

  • Skills Gap Analysis: Establish processes to identify and reduce quality skills gaps through training and development.

  • APQP Activities: Lead and review APQP tasks to ensure compliance with Tenneco’s and customer requirements.

  • Quality Issue Resolution: Address quality issues in interplant transfers/ICY finished goods.

  • Warranty Support: Resolve warranty department escalations to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Quality Audits: Perform and follow up on quality audits within the EMEA region.

Education / Experience / Skills

  • Education Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline required.

  • Experience 10-15 years in Quality discipline in automotive manufacturing.

  • Certifications Prefer ASQ Certification (CQM/OE, CQE, CRE, SSGB/SSBB). Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.

  • Skills Data analysis, problem-solving, quality audits, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, GD&T.

  • Tools Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Minitab.

  • Travel Up to 30% travel required.

Key Competencies

  • Quality Leadership Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement metrics.

  • Advanced Tools & Techniques Proficiency in problem-solving tools and methods.

  • External Requirements Understanding of industry standards and customer quality requirements.

  • Inspection & Testing Ability to inspect products and measure process performance.

  • Quality Planning (APQP) Skill in defining critical quality elements and mitigating risks.
