EHS Admin

Arconic Runcorn, Cheshire (Onsite) Full-Time

Kawneer is currently in search of EHS Admin to join our team in Runcorn.

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Admin to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration function within the department, along with general EHS support as required.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Ensure EHS Training (Inductions / Contractor / Statutory) are provided, monitored, recorded and delivered internally
  • Procurement of PPE Stocks / Operational Equipment / Safety Items
  • Assist and support in the general management of the EHS dept (EHS / First Aid / Fire / Training/ Health Hygiene)
  • Support in the reporting and investigation of accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses and work-related ill health on the company EHS Reporting System
  • Participate in workplace EHS Audits and Inspections where required
  • Monitor and follow up EHS actions and prepare monthly performance metrics
  • Support EHS Committee Meetings and maintain records (Minutes / Actions)
  • Support EHS Advisor / EHS Manager in implementation of effective environmental, health, safety processes
  • Support to line management on EH&S issues (incidents, investigations, risk assessments, procedures employee concerns, emergency preparedness and changes affecting EHS)
  • Support EHS Team / Managers to ensure all significant risks are covered by a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process (COSHH, Manual Handling and Ergonomic). 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in an EHS advisory role
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing background would be advantageous
  • Good computer skills, must be competent with Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to motivate and support
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written 

Hours

  • 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday
  • Flexi-time is available upon completion of probation
