Logistics Process Engineer and Inventory Stock Control
Job Purpose:
To manage / be accountable for the inventory control function at the logistics warehouse, including stock integrity, stock accuracy, effective storage strategies to drive productivity and the keeping of appropriate records. This includes SAP housekeeping / alignment with European support functions for an operation with high value stockholding. It includes full responsibility for PI counts, that are on plan with corporate demands, including full root cause analysis and preventative actions where integrity falls outside KPI.
Responsibilities:
- To Ensure both Stock accuracy & Integrity are maintained to corporate demands
- Control & Monitor Level of gross/net stock adjustments
- Ensure Results from stocktake/cycle counts (PI) are reported to Management team
- Liaise with LO central FI control to ensure EU reporting is in line with Local reporting
- Drive Continuous Improvement of the principal inventory processes, working with Management team & depts.
- To ensure full Management team are aware of all trends & disciplines that are effecting the stock file
- Monitor Logistics processes to ensure they are fully compliant & implement any corrective measures if required
- Ensure daily review of Slotting effectiveness
- Ensure on-going Development, optimizing, maintenance and major review of warehouse set up – Recommending changes to current set up were required
- Work with Management team to identify & understand inbound & outbound demands for both productivity & customer requirements for slotting
- Working with the LO Management team identify changes / improvement to drive productivity / quality
- Accuracy and upkeep of SAP system records & functionality / aligning all to demands
- Project Co-ordination and testing/ LO team communication
- Continue a positive, pro-active, team based culture within the departmental team through regular and effective communications with the workforce.
- Motivate and lead the team to achieve high standards of performance, coaching and mentoring individuals and identifying development needs and succession planning
- Ensure team are regularly briefed on relevant company communications and daily departmental needs to promote team effort and understanding of business needs.
- To imbed the company values into team members through reinforcement of behaviour both individually and with the team.
- Ensure team are working to company health & safety standards & following agreed processes
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of stock control processes and methodology.
- Good knowledge of SAP
- Excellent analytical skills
