About the Role
We are looking for a Manager of Photo Editing & Visual Assets to oversee and maintain our library of athlete headshots, imagery, and brand photography across all digital and product experiences. As part of the Product Design organization, this role ensures that our photo assets remain fresh, high-quality, and aligned with our brand and product storytelling.
Beyond photo editing, you will establish scalable processes for managing, organizing, and distributing visual assets, ensuring consistency across teams. This role is a mix of photo editing, asset management, quality control, and workflow optimization, making it a critical function within the design org.
What You’ll Do
Athlete Headshot & Photo Asset Management
Own and maintain the company’s official athlete headshot library, ensuring all player profiles remain updated and visually consistent across all sports.
Manage high-profile athlete photography for use in product, marketing, and media, collaborating with sports leagues, teams, and content partners.
Retouch, enhance, and crop images to meet brand and platform specifications.
Ensure all athlete images reflect a consistent lighting, composition, and editing style.
Product & Marketing Visual Asset Optimization
Oversee and maintain a centralized library of brand-approved photography and image assets for use in product, marketing, and internal communications.
Ensure all product images, feature screens, and promotional assets are up to date with the latest UI and branding.
Optimize image assets for performance across web, mobile, and high-resolution displays.
Work closely with UX designers and product teams to supply high-quality images for mockups, prototypes, and final production.
Process & Workflow Efficiency
Build scalable workflows for requesting, editing, approving, and distributing images across teams.
Implement metadata tagging and asset management best practices to make searching for images intuitive and efficient.
Define photo editing standards, style guides, and templates to maintain consistency across projects.
Manage requests for custom edits, image sourcing, or new photography needs from cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Visual Strategy
Partner with Design, Marketing, and Editorial teams to ensure all visual assets align with brand guidelines and storytelling goals.
Work closely with design system teams to incorporate photography best practices into UI components and product guidelines.
Collaborate with sports leagues, teams, external photographers, agencies, and stock image providers when needed for high-quality imagery.
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in photo editing, digital asset management, or visual design.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other professional photo editing tools.
Strong understanding of image optimization for web, mobile, and high-resolution outputs.
Experience managing large-scale athlete photo libraries with tools like DAM (Digital Asset Management) systems.
A keen eye for composition, lighting, and retouching techniques to create a polished, professional look.
Ability to balance speed with quality, ensuring quick turnaround times without sacrificing excellence.
Excellent organization and workflow management skills, ensuring visual assets are easy to find and use across teams.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work across departments to meet business needs.

) page to learn more.The compensation for this position ranges from $120,750.00 - $251,250.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
