Designer, Yahoo Brand Studio
Position Overview
Yahoo Brand Studio supports all custom built and designed advertiser work - inclusive of ads and content - for the Yahoo Ads business. The Designer, Yahoo Brand Studio is a key contributor to selling in and executing on our Ad and Content solutions that run across our O&O properties. You will act as a creative partner for pitches and lead design on post sale campaigns while also supporting internal teams who drive ad product innovation to help scale new ad products across the Yahoo ecosystem.
Responsibilities Include
Innovation & Development: Collaborate with Publishers, Monetization, Engineering, Sales and Strategy to bring new formats of ads and content to market based on client needs and business goals.
Pre-Sales Support: Offer creative solutions and act as a trusted technical consultant to Sales Support teams. Collaborate with Sales and Sales Support teams to deliver ad creative and content experience mocks to support outgoing proposals that meet business needs and goals.
Post Sale Design Lead: Own the output of best in class design for all flavors of ad and content solutions on sold campaigns, collaborating closely with cross functional partners. Ensure all assets are pixel perfect and built to spec for execution within the platform.
Process Documentation & Training: Support the team’s operational excellence through contributions to process documentation, ad specifications, best practices, and FAQs for use by cross-functional teams.
Sales Enablement: Support Sales Support in efforts to educate and train the Sales team on ad and content offerings including developing templates and modular presentations.
Job Qualifications
3+ years experience in digital design (content experiences, standard IAB units, proprietary ad formats, native, video) ideally as a graphic designer or art director (3 - 5 years preferred).
Experience working with a publisher ad creative team, branded content studio, advertising agency, design studio or editorial publishing company.
Proficiency in most or all of the following: Adobe Creative Suite, Pathmatics, Flowcode, Figma, Canva, GitHub CoPilot and Google Drive applications.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain creative and technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Highly motivated independent worker with a client-first, solutions-focused, can-do attitude.
Consultative approach to design; have a deep understanding of how to marry ad or content solutions to creative best practices. You seek data to confirm or iterate your thinking.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you can make a clear case for what you're doing and why. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and can speak sales with the same fluency that you can speak engineering, product and design.
Solid analytical, decision-making, time management and problem solving skills. You’re pragmatic, not precious.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment – you are well organized, have excellent attention to detail, meet tasks on short deadlines and know how to prioritize towards revenue. You’re highly adaptable and thrive in a constantly evolving space.
Nice to Have
Basic HTML/CSS front end development skills. Experience in Webflow, Figma, Ceros.
Experience in Premiere, After Effects or any motion graphics, modeling or animation programs.
Client-facing experience.

) page to learn more.The compensation for this position ranges from $96,000.00 - $200,000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
