Responsibilities

• Responsible for the definition, design, development and successful and timely completion of major new features in current and future products

• Lead the design effort for a system component, defining priorities and evaluating resources

• Responsible for design reviews, ensure quality of group modules in existing products

• Work on complex problems of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires in depth evaluation of various factors which may be difficult to define

• Lead technical decisions and design specification of products

• Work extensively with Product, QA and Program Management

• Develop training and technical documents and material, mentor new hires

• Continually learning new skills and being self-development in the AI Era

Expected Qualification

• 7+ years directly related experience of software development and/or enterprise software implementation experience

• Proficient in developing Internet and data applications using Java / Python

• Experience in Backend API Development or Big Data Processing

• Experience on working with large scale distributed systems and container tech

• Good knowledge of Internet / data application development and architecture, ex: HTTP, Networking, Information Security, and Web industry standard

• Experience of development on Linux based systems, command line and scripting 

• Great sense of responsibility and attention to detail

• Communicative proficiency in Mandarin and English 

Preferable Qualification

• Have experiences in building and maintaining open source search engine solutions, e.q. VESPA.ai , Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene, OpenSearch etc.

• Knowing algorithm and data structures for text search indexing and ranking

• With AWS EKS or GCP GKE related cloud experience

• Hands-on operating applications on Kubernetes(k8s) environment, e.g. auto-scaling, storage plan, recovery, BCP plan

• Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning in the server-side system

• Good knowledge to improve efficiency of DevOps (CI/CD), including unit & functional automation testing

• Good knowledge on cyber security, including authentication & authorization

• Be a skillful AI tools user to improve productivity
