Crib Depart Lead

Arconic Springdale, AR (Onsite) Full-Time

Arconic is currently in search of Crib Lead to join our Building and Construction Team in Springdale, Arkansas.

  Job Duties:

  • Lead the department day-to-day production and work standards activities, ensuring OTIF delivery and that schedules are adhered to;
  • Updates department daily management board;
  • Lead people with respect and build fellowship and teamwork;
  • Walk shop floor to ensure all employees are maintaining productivity and quality standards;
  • Conduct Hazardous Waste and Safety Housekeeping Audits;
  • Lead and follow all safety and health requirements listed in applicable procedures and work instructions;
  • Train employees and perform observations of work and coach employees back to the standard;
  • Manage the usage of supplies, inventory, and ordering of supplies used in the department;
  • Interact with other departments to prevent and/or solve problems;
  • Ensure employees are taking all breaks and lunches within the required time period;
  • Employee Relations: in conjunction with the department manager, promote teamwork, coach and counsel employees, prepare/deliver performance reviews, and ensure employees follow company policies and procedures;
  • Emphasizes the requirement of safe working practices in the department, inspects the work area at the start of each shift for overall working conditions;
  • Reports all accidents immediately to the EHS Manager and Department Manager and assist in recommending and implementing corrective action as appropriate;
  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with internal suppliers, promoting a teamwork environment.

  Requirements:

  • Employee is required to follow all safety and health requirements listed in the applicable procedures and work instructions;
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed and determined by management;
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the department processes and equipment;
  • Knowledge of Kawneer products;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent decision making and leadership skills;
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (e-mail) and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel);
  • Working knowledge of JDE shop floor reporting screens;
  • Active support and leadership for ABS tools and concepts;
  • Exhibit safe working practices.

  Physical Demands:

  • Ability to regularly lift 40+ lbs., bend, stoop, and squat
