Maintenance Technician
Arconic is currently in search of a Maintenance Technician to join our BCS Team in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

Essential Duties
- Follows all safety procedures
- Operates one or more pieces of equipment in a safe and efficient manner to produce quality products while keeping pace
- Follow instructions and perform quality checks; visually inspect product for defects
- Completes required paperwork
- Positions will be night shift and overtime will be required
- Other Job Duties as required
Job Duties
- General Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulic Troubleshooting Skills
- Identify Problems and formulate solutions to fix the problems
- Fix most problems with minimal assistance from a higher skill level employee
- Identify Problems and formulate solutions to fix the problems
- Troubleshoot small electrical circuits and find problems
- Troubleshoot small pumping circuits and pump failures
- Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical drive systems such as belts, motors, and chains with minimal assistance
- Repair mechanical failures in a timely fashion
- General idea of manufacturing operations, such as:
- Extrusion Press Operation
- Water Treatment Process Pumping and Systems
- Anodizing and Paint Operations
- Perform PMs such as oil level checks and mechanical Inspections
- Other Duties as assigned by the supervisor
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED, associate degree, or completed journeyman program in related field
- 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar mechanical capacity in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing process and principals and minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical systems and controls utilized in industrial applications
- Strong ability to reach schematics, troubleshoot root cause, and implement repairs to restore flow of equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Initiative to lean new tasks and interested in training
- Enthusiastic about learning equipment and learning failure patterns
- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting
- Must be flexible to work any shift, holidays, and weekends as needed
