Project Engineering Superintendent

Job Summary:
Provide leadership to Lancaster’s Project Engineers which provides various facility related support services to all departments as required to safely and effectively meet the Lancaster Mill Business plan.
Directly supervise, coach, and drive to improve the development and execution of the Arconic Project Engineers.
Responsible and accountable for on-boarding, training, and managing of External Contracted Project Engineers hired to perform on-site Project Engineering services as required to achieve plant and department goals.
The incumbent is responsible to enforce all Arconic safety policies and practices as they pertain to Arconic personnel, as well as outside contractors hired for on-site installation related projects and services.
The incumbent is responsible for insuring that all applicable Federal, State and Local building codes, as well as all applicable Arconic specifications and standards are met and followed for all projects and services performed by Plant Engineers and External Contracted Project Engineers.
The incumbent is responsible for the complete management of CAPEX projects, MM Expense projects, and Engineering Services Request (ESR) assigned to the Plant Engineering group by the Engineering Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Prepares and/or oversees Project Engineers project management assignments and services.
- Prepares and/or oversees assigned project cost estimates, construction progress schedules.
- Prepares and submits and/or oversees all required Project Appropriation documentation for project funding for assigned projects.
- Prepares a weekly and monthly Department status report for active projects, as required.
- Prepares a weekly and monthly Department status report for active projects, as required.
- Capital Budget: direct control of magnitude up to annual of 30M with an impact of Controlling management for assigned projects.
- Capital Budget: integration and Oversight of special projects: up to 200M
- Purchases: strong collaboration with Procurement from specification to vendor selection and qualification
- Assets: manage asset health and lifecycle
You have: (required)
- 4 year Engineering Degree from an Accredited College or University
- 10 years of proven working knowledge and experience in all phases of project engineering management services, preferably in a heavy manufacturing industry environment
- 2 years leadership of projects and/or teams

- This position requires good written & verbal communication skills including ability to effectively present and speak prescisely with all levels of the organization
- Project management skills including ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
