Senior Project Manager
Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Project Manager to join our growing IT team, playing a critical role in aligning IT strategies with business goals to drive operational efficiency and organizational growth. This role will oversee the successful execution of a diverse portfolio of IT projects, ensuring both strategic initiatives and operational needs are met. The Project Manager will act as a key liaison between the IT department and business leaders, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, streamlining processes, and delivering measurable outcomes.
Reporting to the IT Manager, this position will manage projects in partnership with functional stakeholders and department leaders, providing bi-weekly status updates on project progress, deadlines, and potential risks. The Project Manager will maintain detailed project documentation using tools like JIRA, ensure consistent communication with business leaders, and coordinate with IT leadership on resource allocation and prioritization. This role is essential for ensuring that IT initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively to support Maxim Crane’s long-term goals.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
• Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
• Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
• Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
• Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Heavy interaction with key stakeholders and management.
• Working with end users and business analyst teams to design custom solutions, coding the solutions, testing, training, documentation and support of changes/customizations.
• Work across both the IT Infrastructure and Applications teams to share technical resources.
• Understand the overall IT project portfolio and its impact on the business.
• Keeps JIRA epics updated and works with team members to ensure updates have been provided for IT Alignment meetings

• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Technical Understanding
• Possesses general understanding in the areas of Information Technology; Applications, Networks, Programming, and system design.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of our company’s capabilities.
• Utilizing JIRA as a project management tool for both internal and business facing updates
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
• IT Degree (associates/bachelors/certificate) or High School diploma (or GED) and at least 8 years of relevant technical experience.
Experience:
• 10+ years experience in Project Management within an IT Company and/or IT Department
Required Skills/Knowledge:
• Strong interpersonal and consultative skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates self-initiative and self-direction in learning activities and professional development
• Software Development Life Cycle
• Requirements Management
• JIRA Certified Preferred
• ITIL Certified Preferred
• PMI Training Preferred
