Communication and Vendor Marketing Specialist
The Communications & Vendor Marketing Specialist will help plan, develop and execute internal and external communication activities for Tech Data, as well as handle and monitor all marketing initiatives for assigned vendor accounts. This role has a cross-business scope with a particular focus on Tech Data’s next generation technology businesses (including cloud, analytics/IoT and security) and involves interaction with colleagues from all of Tech Data’s principal business units and support functions. Exceptional writing, editing, proofing and project management skills are essential, as are strong interpersonal skills, an eagerness to learn and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment.
Responsibilities:
1/ Communication & Branding – 70%
Act as an ambassador of the Tech Data brand and culture among colleagues and with external stakeholders.
Assist Marketing Manager in proposing the communication & branding plan for Tech Data within approved budget; support the internal and external communication planning and execution at country and business unit level.
Leverage internal and external resources to proactively propose and execute branding activities for Tech Data, including but not limited to: Newsletters, Interviews, Magazine articles, Press conference, Tech-Day conference, Tech-Expo….
Work closely with the Media agencies to execute the PR & branding campaigns.
Develop social media content plan and publish social media content. Drive engagement and measure impact for Tech Data presence on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Youtube, Current).
Manage the effectiveness of communication campaigns through regularly tracking & reporting; consult Marketing Manager with tactics/actions to drive improvement.
Draft, edit and distribute organizational announcements and leadership dialogue via channels including email, video, intranet and social/collaboration media. Do the localization if any.
Support other teams in internal communication and in monthly activities.
2/ Vendor Marketing – 25%
Executing programs with business partners on marketing initiatives and campaigns for assigned vendors.
Organizing events, planning of F&B, facilities and provide event on-site support
Prepare collateral relative to channel promotional flyers and other advertising materials where required
Participate and support in planning to execution of programs with sales business units
Tracking & monitoring of leads and opportunities with brands
Manage e-marketing campaigns and extracting reporting documents to support MDF claims process
Responsible for managing MDF (Marketing Development Fund), Co-op and MDF systems reporting
Working in collaboration with finance on MDF claims status
Handle invoice processes for marketing department
3/ Others - 5%
Support marketing team to monitor event execution onsite of other linecards.
Handle paperwork tasks periodically.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communication.
Influence in English with strong writing, proofing and editing skills.
Candidates with 3-4 years of experience in PR/Media agency is highly preferred.
Experience with social media content curation, community management and impact measurement. Candidate ideally brings experience with social media management platforms e.g. Sprinklr.
Experience in using automation marketing tools & design software's (Canva, Photoshop.)
Ability to plan, manage, and execute initiatives in collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (senior executives, peers, external providers)
Problem solving ability and consideration of process improvements.
Excellent organizational and communications skills with a strong attention to detail
Creativity, teamwork and the ability to meet deadline.
