WMS Engineer
Major Activities
- Monitor open issues/resolutions for new Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of changes and issue resolution and provide results and feedback to the Michaels IT team.
- Monitor new IT tickets submitted by all Distribution Centers
- Support Distribution Centers with new WMS as needed for problem resolution
- Understand and support WMS configuration changes for legacy WMS based on business needs
- Participate in design, UAT, and deployment of all WMS major changes, including upgrades
- Travel to DC sites during deployment of upgrades and major changes (as needed)
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
- Experience with warehouse management systems
- Blue Yonder version 2019 or greater a plus
- Proficiency with Word and Excel
Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires
- Distribution center operations and systemic transactions
Preferred Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Special Certifications or Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of SQL queries
- Advanced proficiency with Word and Excel

- Experience with configuration or design of warehouse management systems
