WMS Engineer

Support Center - Irving

All Michaels Distributions Centers operate using the same warehouse management system (WMS). The WMS engineers are needed to support the system functionality for the business (distribution centers).

Major Activities

• Monitor open issues/resolutions for new Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of changes and issue resolution and provide results and feedback to the Michaels IT team.
• Monitor new IT tickets submitted by all Distribution Centers
• Support Distribution Centers with new WMS as needed for problem resolution
• Understand and support WMS configuration changes for legacy WMS based on business needs
• Participate in design, UAT, and deployment of all WMS major changes, including upgrades
• Travel to DC sites during deployment of upgrades and major changes (as needed)
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

• Experience with warehouse management systems
• Blue Yonder version 2019 or greater a plus
• Proficiency with Word and Excel

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

• Distribution center operations and systemic transactions

Preferred Education

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Basic understanding of SQL queries
• Advanced proficiency with Word and Excel

• Experience with configuration or design of warehouse management systems
