Yahoo Finance is looking for a highly-motivated EMEA correspondent to join our London team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
producing and presenting engaging, informative, and visually dynamic video segments that resonate with viewers across our platforms.
delivering live, on-air reporting for daily flagship shows.
generating fresh ideas for compelling financial stories that align with audience interests and platform goals.
writing conversational, accurate articles and scripts that bring clarity to complex topics, making financial news accessible and actionable.
bringing a robust contact list of sources and cultivating new relationships with market experts, executives, and policymakers to break news and uncover unique perspectives.
tailoring content for diverse audiences across streaming, desktop, mobile, and social platforms.
This role is best-suited for an experienced financial journalist who is interested in working across formats and platforms as part of a small, international news team. At a minimum, you should have:
5+ years of on-air reporting experience with clips to demonstrate your work in live and recorded video, along with experience writing text articles. Additional experience contributing to podcasts and/or social media is a plus.
exceptional time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.
impeccable editorial judgment at each stage of the reporting process, from pitch to publish.
the journalistic skills to craft narratives that inform and captivate.
a self-starter’s mindset, taking the initiative to move quickly and be competitive.
the ability to work in person in our London office every weekday, with flexibility to cover late-breaking stories after hours and on weekends and holidays as coverage needs may require.
