Brand Marketing Manager, MakerPlace

The Brand Marketing Manager, MakerPlace will drive the development and execution of marketing programs across multiple channels that align with overall brand vision and grow awareness of MakerPlace in the market. They will drive strategy, partner selection, and delivery of campaigns, partnering closely with Social, Influencer, PR, and other channel owners to bring brand defining initiatives to life. They’ll oversee the execution of full funnel marketing campaigns across all channels. This team member will work cross functionally to develop brand plans and marketing calendars with key partners on the Business, Merchandising, and MakerPlace Marketing teams, owning results and learning plans for continuous improvement.

Major Activities

  • Lead the planning, strategic development, and execution of dynamic brand marketing campaigns across multiple channels to grow awareness and consideration. This ranges from major brand moments, to activations and seasonal campaigns. ​
  • Work with Social, Community, and PR teams to develop brand ambassador and influencer programs to grow community. Identify the right creators, develop relationships, and construct partnerships that elevate and expand brand perception.​
  • Develop partnerships and collaborations with brands, individuals, and media to expand brand reach and attract new customers to the brand. ​
  • Collaborate with business / merchandising teams to translate key sales objectives into marketing strategies and campaign briefs for internal and external creative partners.​
  • Work alongside MakerPlace Marketing team to build long term brand plan, marketing calendars, and evolve brand standards. ​
  • Partner with analytics and media teams to analyze campaign performance, implementing test and learn strategies to continually optimize. ​

Other duties as assigned

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • MS Office Proficient including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel​
  • Ability to learn DAM, feedback, and content management tools

Minimum Type of Experience Required

  • 6+ years of Brand, Community, or Content Marketing experience at major brands​
  • Deep experience building social media strategies, influencer and ambassador programs, and attention-grabbing brand activations at scale​
  • Expert creative brief writing skills and experience building full funnel campaign plans and communications strategies​
  • Cross functional leadership experience, securing strategic alignment with partners across disciplines with occasionally competing priorities

  • Must possess superb communication skills, be personable, professional, and have strong presentation skills​
  • Ability to function at a high level in a fast pace, constantly evolving environment​
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities simultaneously, while executing against key deliverables with excellence​
