In this role, you will tackle large-scale, real-world challenges and solve complex problems within enterprise-level systems. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, utilizing large datasets to create software solutions that drive our global operations and ensure the smooth performance of critical applications.

We are looking for backend engineers with strong coding skills and a solid understanding of distributed systems, database design, and software architecture. You will primarily code in Java on Unix-based platforms, designing and optimizing backend applications that efficiently process vast amounts of data. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP is a plus.

[Responsibilities]

• Some experience in development on Linux-based systems, including basic command-line tools and scripting.

• Moderate proficiency in Java API development, with developing skills in Java Spring Boot.

• Hands-on experience with databases, such as MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.

• Basic knowledge of web development and architecture, including HTTP, networking, CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, and web industry standards.

• Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python, Shell script, or any other scripting language.

• Participated in the full life cycle of large projects: design, implementation, testing, release, and maintenance.

• Understanding of the software engineering life cycle, including design, development, build/release, and QA (CI/CD).

• Some experience with AWS or GCP is beneficial.

[Minimum Qualifications]

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, with a solid understanding of fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.

• Solid coding skills and experience in object-oriented programming, preferably in Java.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse technical backgrounds and locations. Enjoys helping others and remains calm and constructive under pressure.

• Proven technical expertise, including responsibility for design or architecture decisions.

[Preferred Qualifications]

• Some knowledge and hands-on experience with Java, PHP, and Shell scripting.

• Basic understanding of product quality and performance standards.

• Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum development process or cloud computing.

• Ability to troubleshoot some system issues, with guidance.

• Participation in design discussions and code reviews, with opportunities for growth.

• Experience working with distributed systems.

• Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.

• Developing analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in acquiring new skills.

• Ability to take initiative and innovate, with a developing sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
