We are looking for an EH&S Manager at our Frankfort, Indiana facility. The EH&S Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and will provide environmental, health and safety leadership to the Site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages and directs site in achieving EH&S targets & objectives. Directs development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and division EH&S strategic initiatives.
- Maintaining compliance with national, area and local regulatory requirements and communication with those agencies.
- Maintaining site ISO/OHSAS certifications (as applicable)
- Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EH&S hazards and aspects. Works with leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EH&S risks.
- Determines appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
- Supports creation of EH&S goals for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EH&S culture, compliance, and results.
- Works to assign EH&S element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the EH&S elements.
- Drives and promotes zero incident EH&S culture throughout site.
- Creates and facilitates EH&S engagement through EH&S teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
- Works with leadership team and EH&S element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EH&S country, state, and local regulations.
- Pursues third party recognition for programs that establish the site and Tenneco’s EH&S program as world class.
- Uses established EH&S data processes such as AGEIS to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EH&S action items and other pertinent information.
- Create training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
- Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EH&S operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EH&S action items are resolved on a timely basis.
- Supporting W/C investigations in coordination with site HR.
- Oversight of the certification of wastewater treatment operations and coordination with wastewater management and personnel.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in related field with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing related experience (or equivalent combination of formal education and experience).
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years Manager or Supervisor level experience, preferably within the EH&S field in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to plan and coordinate projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Innovative problem solver with the ability to take initiative.
