IT Manufacturing Analyst

Arconic Davenport, IA (Onsite) Full-Time

Arconic is currently in search of an IT MANUFACTURING ANALYST to join our Global Rolled Products (GRP) Team in Bettendorf, IA

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enhance and Support IT applications for manufacturing operations
  • Learn and support integrations between IT and Process Control (PCS) systems
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes in your area(s) of assignment and a general understanding of the Arconic business
  • Take initiative to identify and implement system and/or process improvements to support business objectives
  • Effectively utilize project methodology and tools to deliver solutions and communicate status
  • Operate within IS standards and conventions and promote adherence within the organization
  • Conduct self-assessments to ensure location is compliant with corporate IT audit policies 
  • Adopt / lead business process standardization through systems implementations
  • Document new processes, maintain existing knowledge bases, and process documentation
  • Pursue continuous learning, consistent with evolving job requirements and technology / organizational changes

Key Objectives

 

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for automation, Business Intelligence (BI), and solution design and reporting
  • Work with business and IT teams to design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing 
  • Partner with architecture and client teams to define and develop strategies to deliver desired results
  • Partner with the infrastructure teams to ensure continued stability and support of the Microsoft and Oracle Applications and on-prem environments
  • Work with project lead on mid-size work requests and projects
  • Regularly communicates project status to project steering team and stakeholders
  • Addresses issues promptly and escalates issues appropriately 
  • Supports Arconic Compliance activities by performing annual system testing for adherence to IT System and SOX Audit requirements, assists SOX audit teams and internal audit teams as required, and performs Disaster Recovery testing as required.

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 
  • 3 years’ minimum experience in a similar role. 
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience with Manufacturing IT systems
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • SQL Programming (SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL)
  • VB.Net, C, or Java programming experience
  • Proficiency with database query tools (SQL Developer and/or SSMS)
  • Experience with VAX COBOL or Fortran
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Experience with IT audit processes (self assessments)
  • Solid understanding of systems analysis, design, and programming techniques
  • Experience translating business requirements into system functional requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong relationship skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers, other analysts, and management
