IT Support Specialist
This is a great opportunity to join us as an IT Support Specialist, part of the Information Technology Infrastructure team in our Shared Services Center (SSC) in Bucharest. In this role you will provide technical assistance and support to prevent or resolve problems related to technical aspects of peripheral IT equipment, hardware or software, for all applicable IT infrastructure in the Bucharest location.
What you will do:
- Maintain appropriate standards for infrastructure and the working IT system for Bucharest SSC location in a rigorous manner.
- Installing and configuring computers in accordance with company standards.
- Providing primary technical support for peripheral IT equipment (scanners, printers, landlines, etc.).
- Troubleshooting software and hardware errors, including replacing faulty components.
- Using infrastructure management applications and remote connection tools to provide remote interventions as well as on-site interventions.
- Resolving issues assigned through internal ticketing applications.
- Addressing with a customer orientation approach all incidents assigned or reported by internal clients.
- Collaborating with colleagues to resolve client issues (related to their PCs or applications).
- Ensure that any issues related to standard procedures are reported to the corporate ownership group.
- Accurately and appropriately document the management of assets used (hardware) and software licenses for the location(s) for the Bucharest location.
- Ensure the management and maintenance of server rooms in accordance with the company's standard policies.
- Assist in managing location-specific projects as required.
- Communicate IT policies and procedures to users and provide training.
- Accurately centralize reported issues and their resolutions in the standardized help desk/support application and prepare activity reports in accordance with company norms and procedures.
What you’ll have to bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other closely related fields.
- 2–3 years of experience working with PC hardware components, operating systems, and office software applications.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and other Microsoft 365 applications;
- Experience in various areas of technical architecture (technologies, data, etc.).
- Advanced English proficiency (both spoken and written).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Disciplined approach and active engagement in meeting SLA requirements.
- Analytical rigor in solving problems and developing preventive solutions.
- Willingness to adhere to a global standard process model.
- Ability to work as part of a team with members located worldwide.
- Proactive mindset, with the ability to independently resolve problems and deliver results.
- Client service orientation with strong communication skills.
