Purchasing Analyst/Buyer MCA

TD SYNNEX Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires (Onsite) Full-Time

About the role:

As a Purchasing Analyst/Buyer, you will be the primary point of contact for both customers and suppliers, managing all customer issues related to order management for products within a specific solutions group (e.g., HP, IBM, Sun, etc.). You will play a key role in ensuring smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders, maintaining the highest levels of customer service and order accuracy.

What You'll Do

Order Fulfillment:

  • Facilitate the order fulfillment process to meet customer service levels.

  • Review and enter orders to ensure on-time shipment while upholding quality standards.

Process Management:

  • Make necessary adjustments in purchasing, backlog management, integration, engineering, and shipping/traffic.

  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to meet customer and TD SYNNEX expectations.

Issue Resolution:

  • Identify and communicate options for resolving issues as they arise.

  • Manage backlog, monitor order progress, investigate issues, and make decisions within established processes.

  • Escalate decisions regarding exceptions and critical situations when necessary.

Margin Integrity:

  • Ensure margin integrity by following exception processes for sales management approvals when required.

Order Accountability:

  • Maintain accountability for the order through the invoicing process, assisting in research and resolution of order issues as appropriate.

  • Coordinate Customer-Owned Inventory (COI) Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure accuracy in COI inventory reports, if applicable.

Customer Communication:

  • Maintain and update necessary information for the customer to ensure transparency and accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface with supplier and customer representatives primarily via telephone and email.

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to understand and apply process guidelines effectively for problem resolution.

  • Operational knowledge and proficiency in the use of order entry computer systems and related programs.

  • Basic understanding of supply chain procedures and the distribution industry.

  • Fundamental knowledge of product offerings, pricing, customer service, and sales strategy.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and apply them in a business context.

  • Basic familiarity with product applications and requirements.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience in sales, customer service, warehouse, or product support roles, or a combination of post-secondary education and work experience that demonstrates the ability to meet the role's responsibilities.

Education & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
