HR Intern
JOB TITLE: Human Resources Intern

REPORTS TO: HR Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
The intern will work in Tenneco’s Human Resources department and be involved in several ongoing HR functions and initiatives, that include but not limited to: Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Relations, HR Data Analysis and Training Coordination. The HR Intern will attend and participate in all HR staff meetings and “shadow” HR professionals in their meetings with managers and staff.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the New Hire/Rehire onboarding process.
- Conduct internet research and reporting on workplace topics.
- Assist with New Hire Orientations and file/scan new hire paperwork.
- Enhance and promote engagement ideas and events.
- Prepare or Maintain Employment Records related to events, such as hiring, termination, medical leaves, transfers, and/or promotions, using human resources management system software.
- Documenting/Recording Information — entering, recording, storing, maintaining and/or destroying records according to legal and company requirements.
- Support positive employee relations initiates.
- Adaptable to the changing demands in order to meet goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a fast paced/dynamic environment.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
- Strong analytical skills and motivation.
- Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, or Human Resources.
- Sophomore level or higher preferred.
