Financial Analyst – Logistics
Job Purpose:
As part of the European finance organization,
Own the financials of our International Logistics facility in the Czech Republic (Bor u Tachova)
Perform analytical reviews. Challenge and support business results. Lead ad hoc performance projects.
Own/Participate in European wide financial analysis, reports, tools
Responsibilities:
- Act as effective Financial Business Partner supporting & challenging the Logistics Director
- Understand the related Business drivers, vision & evolution.
- Analyze & challenge performance. Identify opportunities and recommend actions. Follow-up actions up to completion.
- Actively participate in all tasks and processes related to Forecasting, Budgeting, Outlook, Financial Analysis, Sr. Management analytics and ad hoc activities
- Prepare management presentations for planning and Month End Close reviews
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of P&L, Balance sheet and HC
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools
- Help prepare Sr Management presentations for regular reviews (MEC, Quarter end, Forecast, Outlook etc)
- Develop and work on various budgeting and forecasting models and templates
- Prepare ad hoc reports and other analysis upon request
- Work closely with EMEA FP&A team members in all ongoing activities.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Driving license B
- Fluent English
- Degree in Finance / Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in finance / FP&A role of international company
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Knowledge of SAP/BW and SAP BPC of advantage.
- Able to interact effectively with higher levels of management (managers & above)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills needed to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers and distill them into insightful analysis for senior management
- Able to maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment and continuously evolve to meet changing business needs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
- Able to deliver process improvement solutions for dedicated activities by applying high level of understanding of FP&A practice, company policy and business knowledge.
- Deadline-oriented, able to work well under pressure, has strong sense of urgency / prioritization.
Working Conditions:
- Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
- Shared time between the offices in BOR logistics center, the Prague headquarters offices, work-from-home
