Product Testing Technician

Arconic Cranberry Township, PA (Onsite) Full-Time

Arconic is currently in search of a Product Testing Technician to join our Kawneer Business in Cranberry TWP, PA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform product development testing and industry standard testing.
  • Collection of test data, analyze results, and communicate to stakeholders;
  • Write in-house test summaries and test reports; 
  • Assemble and install materials for proof of concept, design and certification testing
  • Perform general maintenance of test equipment and schedule 3rd party maintenance;
  • Perform fabrication and glazing of framing systems and components in the WorkShop with traditional tooling, CNC and test lab equipment.
  • Review and execute test plans. Ensure compliance to applicable standards.
  • Occasionally travel to other labs to ensure tests are conducted in accordance with Kawneer test plans;
  • Practice and enforce Arconic’s safety policies to ensure a safe work environment

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge and safe operational skills of basic power tools and hand tools including drills, saws, and basic bench hand tools
  • Ability to read and understand the technical documents
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Projects, AutoCad/Inventor software
  • Able to lift materials up to 40 pounds shoulder height, using proper lifting techniques
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in an engineering discipline such as mechanical, civil, structural, building/construction sciences OR a High School Diploma & 2 years of applicable experience in production, quality, and/or testing 
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Autodesk software
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of fenestration products within the building industry.
  • Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds shoulder height, using proper lifting techniques.
  • Experience in construction laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of fenestration products within the building industry
