With the Deerwood, Island, Forest, Lake and Marsh courses, you have the opportunity to test your game on championship Houston golf courses that have hosted numerous tournaments and provide Members with a challenging, visually attractive and enjoyable Kingwood golf course experience.

The Deerwood Course

Designed by renowned golf architects Joe Finger and Ken Dye and the legendary golfer Byron Nelson, Deerwood is a challenging 18-hole championship golf course that has hosted the Champions Tour, the Doug Sanders Celebrity Classic and many others. Deerwood tests players each round, with demanding tee shots into tight, tree-lined fairways and fast greens that seem to never offer up a straight putt.

The Marsh Course

The Marsh Course features 18 holes surrounded by lush greenery and the natural beauty of the water features throughout the course. It is fun and challenging for golfers of all levels.

The Forest Course

The Forest Course provided the backdrop for the movie Tin Cup and was host of the Canadian Open Tour as well as the Texas State Senior Open.

The Island Course

The Island Course, designed by Joe Finger, offers one of the toughest finishing holes in golf and was named a top 50 course in the state of Texas by the Dallas Morning News.

The Lake Course

Each hole on the Lake Course is a new experience set among the surrounding natural beauty and water features.

 

Job Summary

The Player Development Professional partners with the Director of Golf and/or Head Golf Professional and is responsible for creating a culture of improvement at the Club to generate increased levels of participation amongst the Members and prospective Members. The goal is to increase member value and appeal of the Club through increased participation and the development of a more vibrant and enjoyable golf community. This is accomplished on the golf course by playing golf with members, building relationships, and connecting with people. 

Day-to-Day

  • Play golf with members 
  • Management of a personal care group of allocated golfers responsible for their retention, activation, and participation.
  • Execution of player development activities (this includes coaching, engagement events, golf with members, swing assessments, etc).
  • Creation and management of a new membership pipeline including management of the conversion to member.
  • Improvement of golfers playing performance through coaching and fitting.
  • Execute and manage junior, adult, new golfer, and social coaching programs with minimum numbers participating.
  • Execute and manage active marketing events.

About You

  • Loves to play Golf
  • Passion for improving the performance of students.
  • Interest in swing fundamentals, athletic performance, and technology associated with its measurement.
  • Interest in students as a people and drive to create confidence, character, and connection.
  • Desire to contribute to students’ membership experience.
  • Customer-experience biased servant-leaders.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion preferred.
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation

Salary: $18 to -$25 per hour

Lesson Commissions: $30k to $50k or more

Other Commissions: up to $10k to play golf with members
