Position Summary:

  • Be the eager and ambitious starter in one of the top Lighting companies in the world and help, support and develop a changing accounting organization. You will be part of our international team in Amsterdam (Schiphol) headquarters and work in an exciting and dynamic industry. As a part-time intern, you will be reporting to the Senior Director Technical Accounting & Oversight to help the team improve internal processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Contributing to the Technical Accounting & Oversight Specialists assignments in performing research on particular specific accounting matters relating to IFRS.
  • Supporting Finance organization with preparations of the for annual audit and financial statement preparations including completing the IFRS disclosure checklist.
  • Active involvement in maintaining the an interactive Lumileds Accounting manual and Policies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the accounting presentations on PowerPoint.
  • Assist in setting up global accounting training and regular webcasts for worldwide finance staff.
  • Taking care of certain administrative matters involving the Technical Accounting & Oversight.


What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

  • A motivated student who is currently studying towards a Bachelor or Master’s in Accounting, Finance (basic training in IFRS is part of your education).
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent knowledge in windows applications, and most important well-developed Powerpoint and Excel skills.
  • Team player mindset.
  • Able to work at least 24 hours a week, for at least 6 months (longer is possible).
