Who You Are:

Be the eager and ambitious starter in one of the top Lighting companies in the World and help, support and develop a changing accounting organization.

You will be part of our AORC (Accounting Operations, Reporting & Control) & HR international team in Amsterdam headquarters and work in an exciting and dynamic industry. As intern, you will be reporting to the External Reporting Senior Manager & HR manager to help them improve our internal processes.

What You Will Do:

  • Actively involved in managing the Finance Portal in SharePoint.
  • Analyze current set up, deliver a redesign proposal and implement the new design of the global HR Portal in Sharepoint and related (access/approval/governance) processes.
  • Assist in various internal risk and control monitoring activities.
  • Supporting preparations of the annual financial statements including preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Assisting in preparation of accounting presentations on PowerPoint.
  • Taking care of certain administrative matters involving the AORC.

What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications):

  • A motivated student who is currently studying towards a Bachelor or Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Technology Management, Administration or related field.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Good knowledge in SharePoint and keen to learn how to design and research portal.
  • Excellent knowledge in windows applications, and most important well-developed Powerpoint and Excel skills.
  • Team player mindset.
  • Able to work for at least 32 hrs. a week, for at least a 6 months (longer is possible).


What We Offer:

  • A student on an internship assignment is paid an allowance, depending on his/her situation. This will be determined setting up the Intern Contract.
  • A student who can prove that he/she is not entitled to a student card for public transport (OV-studentenkaart) is paid an allowance to cover the cost of travel between home and the place of work in accordance with the Conditions of Employment Guideline or a company OV-Card according to circumstances.
  • The student is entitled to paid leave on the basis of 1 day per month.
