Position Overview:     

Seeking world-class talent to join Shutterfly & Snapfish, the leading global photo personalization Ecommerce destinations. Specifically, this role will function as Senior Manager, Product Data & Catalog to join our merchandising leadership team. Complete, accurate catalog data is critical to the success of several functions, including Category Management, Merchandising and Customer Experience. Working alongside key business functions, the Senior Manager, Product Data & Catalog will obsess over delivering quality experiences for customers as well as internal users who power our design and data. This includes ensuring that Shutterfly’s & Snapfish’s foundational data is best-in-class, meets governance standards and delivers insights to improve the shopping experience.     
The Senior Manager, Product Data & Catalog will call on their expertise in master data management, data governance, and data quality control to launch content onto both websites as quickly, accurately, and efficiently as possible.  In addition, this leader will continually transform processes to increase the speed at which we onboard new products and designs to Shutterfly & Snapfish ecommerce sites and more effectively scale our resources.      
What You'll Do Here:   
  • Effectively manage and drive a team of Product Content Data Production and operators to successful outcomes, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive in.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Operations, eCommerce, UX, Product, and Engineering) to ensure a smooth flow of information from internal and external sources into our core systems. 
  • Partner with ecommerce to optimize our customers’ experience leveraging design data and product attributes.
  • Lead transformation and execution of Product Data & Catalog initiatives.
  • Partner with merchandising, ecommerce, product & engineering to establish a roadmap of improvements for the optimization of design and product data into our systems.
  • Partner with Product & Engineering to bring improved tooling for Product Information Management platform.
  • Define, implement, and maintain team OKRs, KPIs, data policies, standards, and processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Plan and facilitate the exposure of new data elements as guided by the taxonomy data model; intake and assess requests for new data attributes.
  • Continuously improve the quality of the end-to-end process, including data governance, quality audits and process reviews.
  • Support the product/design launch process by attending weekly project management meetings, acting as the Product Information Management SME and provide status updates on stage level of data set up and projects.

    Desired Qualifications and Experiences:   
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science, data science, or a related field
    • 8-10 years of experience in data management or data governance; preferably in the retail/ecommerce landscape
    • Skilled in data platforms and processes including STIBO/STEP, BI, Adobe tools suite,  reporting with PowerBI, Metadata Management, Data Governance, Master Data Management, and Data Catalog
    • Proven experience in data architecture, data quality management, and data process improvement
    • Experience facilitating the documentation of PIM processes and workflows through Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
    • Ability to both operate at a strategic level and dive deep into the complexity communicating your strategy to partners, product managers, engineers, and designers
    • Experience leading a team to consistently successful outcomes; skilled in prioritization, delegation, resource management and efficiency.
    • Experience in managing onshore and offshore teams
    • Experience tying business strategy to data requirements, and developing organized execution plans
    • In-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid grasp of industry standards and practices
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
