Arconic is currently in search of Sr. Manager – Software Engineering to join our Kawneer Business in Norcross, GA.

Arconic is currently in search of a Sr. Manager – Software Engineering to serve as the leader of Web Application development organization in BCS Global IT to provide hands-on leadership in driving Digital transformation, building and enhancing application landscape in a service-oriented, highly scalable environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives for Building Construction systems Business unit.
  • Actively work alongside business partners to manage and prioritize transformation initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure and infosec team for infrastructure provisioning, Architecture and security review. 
  • Communicate and advocate for Enablement team roadmaps and plans with stakeholders and collaborators
  • Create an environment of collective ownership and operation for the services, tools, and platform built.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience managing engineering teams
  • 4+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
  • 7+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C# including object-oriented design and data structures & algorithms
  • Understanding of web services technologies such as REST, SOAP, HTTP, JSON
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile work processes and managing sprint cycles
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery 
  • A deep understanding of developing applications for large scale and high-performance environment
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment, inspiring teams to achieve important goals together
  • Strong ability to coach developers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers
  • Experience working in Microsoft Azure Cloud platform
  • Experience in Manufacturing or industries with complex supply chain
