Support Center - Irving

As a Senior Developer - Frontend, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing user interfaces for our web applications. Your expertise in React, Redux, Chakra UI, Styled-Components, Lodash, Axios, Node.js (V16+), and Next.js(SSR, CSR, ISR) will be pivotal in creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences. You will collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers to bring our ideas to life.

Major Activities
Development:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, user stories, and design mockups.

  • Translate design concepts and wireframes into high-quality, responsive user interfaces using React and related technologies.

  • Develop and maintain reusable UI components using Chakra UI, Styled-Components, and other appropriate libraries.

  • Implement state management using Redux to ensure efficient data flow and consistent application behavior.

  • Utilize Axios for efficient data fetching and management of API requests and responses.

  • Apply your expertise in Lodash to handle data manipulation and transformation effectively.

  • Leverage Node.js (V16+) for server-side logic and building scalable, high-performance applications.

  • Implement server-side rendering (SSR), client-side rendering (CSR), and incremental static regeneration (ISR) using Next.js.

  • Write clean, well-documented, and performant code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.

  • Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.

  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end and back-end functionalities seamlessly.

  • Stay up to date with the latest UI development trends, tools, and technologies.

  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure knowledge sharing across the team.

  • Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering skill growth.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

10% • Improve system quality by identifying issues, common patterns and developing standard operating procedures

10% • Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, make recommendations and design and implement systems

10% • Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes

5% • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables

5% • Work with teams to implement technical designs

5% • Investigate and use new technologies where relevant

    Minimum Education

    • 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience.

    Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

    • Proven track record working as a front-end developer. In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and functional programming.

    • Extensive experience with React and Redux for building dynamic and interactive user interfaces.

    • Strong proficiency in Chakra UI and Styled-Components for creating visually consistent and aesthetically pleasing designs.

    • Proficiency in Lodash for efficient data manipulation and transformation.

    • Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and using Axios for handling API requests.

    • Experience with Node.js (V16+) and Next.js for server-side rendering and building modern web applications.

    • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.

    • Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

    • Solid understanding of web standards, UI/UX best practices, and cross-browser compatibility.

    • Experience with performance optimization techniques to ensure fast-loading and smooth user experiences.

    • Experience working in an Agile environment, leading onsite and offshore teams.

    • Strong commitment to producing high-quality, maintainable code.

    Minimum Type of experience the job requires

    • Software development experience

    • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

    • Ability to lead and mentor junior developers.
