Support Center - Irving

The Sr. Application Developer will be responsible for design and development of Merchandising, Inventory Management and Pricing Applications with strong expertise on Oracle Retail Modules, particularly Oracle RMS/RMFCS, MFP, RPM and RESA. Must be able to work independently to function as a liaison between the business community and the technical community in support of development of code for the application. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into specific system requirements and providing technical knowledge, leadership, and support.

  • Independently design application components based on requirement specifications.
  • Participate in requirements discussions with business and suggest optimal and efficient technology solutions.
  • Gains understanding of the systems utilizing, conducts research and fact finding to solve business problems and meet the business needs.
  • Independently develop application components as per design specifications.
  • Apply industry defined programming standards for development.
  • Develop high quality components using test driven development.
  • Document and execute any testing needed to ensure defect free deliverables.
  • Perform code reviews and guide other developers on best practices.
  • Participates in architectural reviews.
  • Lead version control and release management processes.
  • Lead development environment management.
  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Support other developers in meeting deadlines.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for his/her application.
  • Communicate timely with business users on issue analysis and resolution.
  • Lead the analysis and resolution for business impacting critical issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies for team and business. Implement changes to achieve improvements.
  • Keep enhancing his/her technical and domain skills through self-learning.
  • Mentor other developers in the team.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Strong Retail Domain Experience with expertise specifically on Developing and Maintaining Merchandising, Inventory Management and Pricing Applications.
  • 4-7 years of Strong Working Experience with Oracle Retail Modules, particularly Oracle RMS or RMFCS, MFP, RPM and RESA.
  • Extensive Experience in installing, configuring, implementing, and customizing Oracle Retail ERP applications specifically RMS, MFP and RPM.
  • Knowledge of multiple technology domains including software development languages and platforms, infrastructure platforms, data management and database technologies, networking technologies, security frameworks and tools.
  • Hands on work experience on PL/SQL, Pro*C, Oracle Forms and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience in implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Applications using WebLogic Server.
  • Basic Understanding of JDA/Blue Yonder Inventory and Category Management Modules such as Allocation, Demand Fulfillment, Space Planning and Floor Planning.
  • Implementation Experience on any Blue Yonder solution would be a preferred qualification.
  • Advanced Programming skills in languages such as Java, C, C++ etc
  • Advanced Scripting skills in modern languages e.g., Javascript, Python etc
  • Development experience with full stack development using UI technologies like React.
  • Experience in developing solutions on major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, or Oracle) would be nice to have.
  • Strong understanding of design principles.
  • Strong understanding of data storage and SQL design principles.
  • Experience on UNIX/LINUX Platform
  • Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
