Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Specialist – Development Strategic Sourcing is to support the procurement process, strategic sourcing objectives and project management goals for all projects, as they relate to budget, schedule, and quality of the FFE scope. The Specialist will coordinate with the internal strategic sourcing team, interior design, construction, operations, and finance to organize and guide the supply chain to deliver projects that meet or exceed program guidelines and Design Excellence standards. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collect, review, and assess FFE specifications for all development projects.
  • Prepare and distribute requests for proposals and/or quote requests.
  • Facilitate vendor registration and compliance requirements for supply chain.
  • Prepare and analyze relevant data to produce BAW or Bid Analysis Worksheet, illustrating fair and objective results of the bid process.
  • Communication with supply chain that professionally and accurately clarifies any errors or omissions in the project documents or supply chain quotations.
  • Create and issue Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders based on aligned procurement strategy among project stakeholders.
  • Create and accurately maintain project tracking and reporting documents.
  • Prepare and track deposits and progress payments for supply chain in accordance with company policy.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prepare documentation of submittal approvals for custom FFE between the Design Team and the Vendor.
  • Ongoing communication with suppliers to expedite manufacturing and production of all FFE within project schedules that meets or exceeds quality standards.
  • Coordinate domestic and international logistics for FFE shipments, insuring safe and economically efficient packaging and shipment.
  • Coordination and support of FFE installation.
  • Execute resolution for any warranty or damage claims.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Project Manager, Director, or VP.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in FFE Procurement preferred.
  • Knowledge of cost management, PO and contract management, and spreadsheet analysis
  • Experience with Ariba and Microsoft Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams) preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
