Job Purpose:
As the Senior Manager, Human Resources, Malaysia, this position is responsible for leading and managing the HR function for our commercial and shared services organizations in Malaysia.
This position will lead employee relations, HR programs, recruitment, total rewards, payroll, talent management as well as create policies and procedures to ensure that Tec D fosters a productive and engaged workforce. As the team leader, you will conduct ongoing coaching and counselling with direct reports, managers and senior leaders. In addition, the individual will be responsible for managing special projects assigned from time to time.
Responsibilities:
Responsible and accountable for the implementation of country HR policies, strategies, and programs.
Collaborates with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to execute enterprise-wide programs and solutions that meet business needs.
Work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management and development.
Partners with leaders in all areas of HR, including Organizational Development, Compensation, Employee Relations, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Benefits, Talent Acquisition to drive initiatives throughout the organization.
Work closely with HR colleagues across the business to define, monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
Support and develop effective recruitment and selection campaigns.
Help to drive organizational performance by driving core business objectives and in particular employee engagement.
Responsible for developing and implementing HR Projects as appropriate.
Promote servant leadership values through participation in organizational initiatives and by taking actions wherever possible to support corporate initiatives.
Leading others to solve complex problems; identify innovative HR solutions.
Active member of the local country management team.
Lead and manage the local HR team
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
10 years of relevant HR experience
Bachelor's degree required; PHR qualifications preferred.
Articulate, confident and fluent communicator and will demonstrate a high level of oral and
Fluent in English and local languages.
Advanced IT skills (Word processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, Internet).
Sound knowledge of HR practices
Proven experience in a variety of Human Resource competencies
Demonstrated awareness of HR best practices
High level knowledge of employment legislation
Ability to facilitate discussions with individuals, and groups.
Sound judgement and decision making skills.
