McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print education solutions, is looking for a Regional Vice President of Professional Services to lead a 7-person implementation team that provides support and services for McGraw Hill products in their Northwest region, which includes (AK, HI, AZ, NM, CO, UT, WY, MT, ID, WA, OR).  The Regional Vice President directs and oversees specific staff, programs, and projects to ensure that services are efficiently meeting customer needs. This individual is responsible for leading employees, meeting with clients and vendors, managing the development of services, and ensuring implementations run smoothly and efficiently. The position requires innovative thinking, leading with data, team input and collaboration to provide the best solutions for our customers.

The Professional Services (PS) organization, within the School division of McGraw Hill, delivers high-quality professional development and project management services to K-12 district clients nationwide. Organized into seven geographical regions, this 90-person team is responsible for instructional leadership and coaching of teachers and administrators who have adopted our supplemental solutions, to include: Achieve Literacy, Achieve Math, ALEKS Math, Actively Learn, RedBird Math and Smarty Ants to accelerate student literacy and numeracy gains.

Over time, it is expected that McGraw Hill’s programs and solutions will solve more pain points of each of our partner districts. The coordination of multiple products from McGraw Hill will require additional future use cases of best practice implementation and an elegant and seamless teacher workflow across products.  Intelligence gained in the process will help identify new revenue opportunities, within our supplemental portfolio and beyond.

Key Duties:

  • Cultivate respectful and trusting relationships with your direct reports and ensure collaboration with all Digital Acceleration Group (DAG) team members s Lead regional activities for professional services including implementation planning, service content development, delivery alignment, vendor management
  • Collaborate with the core and DAG sales and renewal teams to create proactive plans for successful implementations
  • In partnership with peers and team members, implement and use best practices with regional core and supplemental teams to assist in the renewal and expansion of
  • Increase regional revenue generated from professional services bookings
  • Monitor and meet assigned utilization and service delivery goals including training events purchased, scheduled, and delivered, PLS days purchased, scheduled, and delivered, onsite PLS purchased, scheduled and delivered. These KPI’s are inclusive of onsite and online.
  • Collaborate in the creation of strategic account action plans for at-risk accounts with specific calls to action for cross-team support and expedited service to meet customer needs

Knowledge and experience

  • A primary attribute of this role will be the ability to lead from a place of influence.
  • A successful leader in this role will have a deep understanding of instructional practices, including andragogical and pedagogical, change management principles, and a keen awareness between the delicate balance of vendor support and local decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a graduate degree in a related field is desired
