RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of the Group Leaders to produce a quality part to satisfy our customers.
  • Responsible for quality and delivery performance.
  • Ensures policies and procedures are followed.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of reporting, root cause investigations and solutions including inventory reduction.
  • Resolves grievances.
  • Prepares accurate reports for scrap, hours, overtime, safety, piece per labor hour metric, plex inventory and quality.
  • Responsible for 8D problem solving, Kaizen activities, continuous improvement and GP12/Safe Launch monitoring.
  • Manages overtime and monitors the Critical 40 in the department.
  • Enforces and maintains a safe workplace.
  • Responsible for conducting and submitting Reviews for Increase and Annual Reviews in a timely manner as detailed in a monthly Calendar provided to Supervisors and Value Stream Managers. Being out of compliance will results in violating IATF 16949, clause 7.3.2 requirement. 
  • May be given certain authority within job scope by Manager
  • Each employee has the authority to initiate action to prevent a violation of the Tenneco Integrity Policy.
  • All employees will abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard.  An employee should report, and if necessary, stop any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.
  • Capable of providing support as requested by Manager.

EDUCATION:

High School graduate or equivalent. Technical degree preferred.  

EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Minimum 2-3 years experience or training in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Previous experience in supervision role preferred.
