Pricing Analyst / Specialist – DriV Inc.

Job Description:

Under the guidance of the Pricing Supervisor, you will support pricing for an assigned product category or go-to market channel for a specific sub-region within the Mexico & Latin America region. 

In this role, there is a very broad remit with the opportunity to work closely with Sales, Market Intelligence, Finance, Engineering and Product/Technical teams.  You will be a key point of contact for Pricing to our cross-functional teams, collaborating with them on market intelligence, modeling pricing deals, synthesizing insights, developing, and implementing price execution plans as well as reporting and ongoing monitoring of existing price actions.  Role is responsible for delivering successful performance against regionally identified KPIs.

You will gather and analyze large volumes of disparate data (market sales, transaction detail, industry trends, etc) in the development of price strategies.  You will formulate and test pricing hypotheses, while developing and communicating your price recommendations. You’ll also have the opportunity to present your recommendations to senior management for approval. You will facilitate implementation and secure compliance of approved prices into our ERP systems, in collaboration with other team members.  Additionally, you will identify, test and implement process improvements and standardization across regions.

Skills:

  • Analytical: Strong analytical skills are necessary to compare sales, price, and volume trends of our company as well as market data. Must have strong Excel analytical skills and broad familiarity with advanced formulas and Pivot Tables. Ability to visualize and interpret analyses, primarily in Power BI for large sets of data.
  • Organization: This role requires you to be extremely organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to efficiently interpret and analyze large volumes of data and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience driving actionable insights. 
  • Problem-solving: You will use problem-solving skills to identify sales trends and market opportunities to devise price strategies
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in writing and verbally, as you will be working with people at all levels in the organization. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented: The ability to pay close attention to details while remaining accurate is crucial in the analysis of large collections of data.
  • Driven: A proactive mentality and ability to work independently
  • Flexible: Must be able to work within a matrix reporting organization and be able to prioritize competing priorities

Preferred experience:

  • Degree in technical subject (such as statistics, computer science, engineering, IT, hard sciences, or mathematics) or business degree with strong analytical base (finance, business, marketing); advanced degree is a plus.
  • bi-lingual (native language and fluent/advance English, desirable Portuguese/Spanish),
  • 2+ years of experience as an analyst or analytics specialist in pricing, market research, or finance.
  • Programming experience in SQL, Python, or R focused on large data sets.
  • 2+ years of experience in the automotive aftermarket industry a plus
  • Familiarity with SAP a plus

Location: Role is in-person, either in Mexico City (North, Tlalnepantla Site)
