At the Clubs of Kingwood, we offer exceptional golf experiences over five memorable courses. With the Deerwood, Island, Forest, Lake and Marsh courses, you have the opportunity to test your game on championship Houston golf courses that have hosted numerous tournaments and provide Members with a challenging, visually attractive and enjoyable Kingwood golf course experience.

Forest Course

Designer: Finger Dye Spann, Inc.

Ranked as one of the top 50 courses in Texas by the Dallas Morning News, Host of Stage I PGA Tour qualifier, Site of most of the US Open scenes in Tin Cup, starring Kevin Costner, Host of the Canadian Open Tour event, Host of the 2008 Texas State Senior Open.

The Island Course

Designer: Joe Finger

Hole No. 6 selected by Golf Course Architects Society of America as the National Hole of the Year; Hole No. 18 recognized by Golf Digest as Golf’s Toughest Finishing Hole ; Ranked as one of the top 50 courses in Texas by the Dallas Morning News ; Hole No. 18 receives recognition every year by the Dallas Morning News as one of 18 Texas golf holes considered to be the toughest in the state.

The Deerwood Course

Designer: Joe Finger, Ken Dye and Byron Nelson

- Host of Stage II PGA Tour Qualifier - Host of the Senior PGA Doug Sanders Celebrity Pro Am Classic - Ranked as one of the top 10 courses in Texas by the Dallas Morning News - Hole No. 13 receives recognition every year by the Dallas Morning - News as one of 18 Texas golf holes considered to be the toughest in the state -Hole No. 13 was featured as No. 18 in the US Open scenes in Tin Cup, starring Kevin Costner.

On-Going Programs

Off Campus Physical Education Program (OCPE)
Offered through The Clubs of Kingwood

For junior golfers (grades 6 – 8) interested in improving their golf game or taking their golf game to the next level.  This course covers use of woods, irons, putting and short game, rules and etiquette on the course.

Player Development Professional

The Player Development Professional partners with the Director of Golf and/or Head Golf Professional and is responsible for creating a culture of improvement at the Club to generate increased levels of participation in social practice and learning programs amongst the Members and amongst prospective Members. The goal is to increase member value and appeal of the Club to prospects and Members via improved retention, increased participation, and the development of a more vibrant and enjoyable golf community.

DAY-TO-DAY


•         Management of a personal care group of allocated golfers responsible for their retention, activation, and participation.


•         Execution of player development activities (this includes coaching, engagement events, golf with members, swing assessments, fittings, active marketing events, and non-traditional golf events such as a short-game challenge).


•         Creation and management of a new membership pipeline including management of the conversion to member.


•         Improvement of golfers playing performance through coaching and fitting.


•         Execute and manage junior, adult, new golfer, and social coaching programs with minimum numbers participating.


•         Execute and manage active marketing events.

•         Passion for improving the performance of students.


•         Interest in swing fundamentals, athletic performance, and technology associated with its measurement.


•         Interest in students as a people and drive to create confidence, character, and connection.


•         Desire to contribute to students’ membership experience.


•         Love for leading, and serving people;


•         Predisposed to reach out and act.


•         Customer-experience biased servant-leaders.


•         High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.


•         PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion preferred.


•         Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.


•         Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
