Regularly named among the top country clubs in Dallas-Fort Worth by Avid Golfer, Trophy Club is proud to be the home of two world-class golf courses, and legendary LPGA golfer and Golf Hall of Fame Member, Kathy Whitworth (pictured below). The Club houses the majority of Kathy’s trophies from her 88 tour victories, and she still holds the record for the most tour victories by any professional golfer, male or female. Displayed in a beautiful trophy case in the main dining area are pictures, trophies and other incredible memorabilia from her years on tour with the LPGA.

Beyond the matchless courses, Members enjoy on-site tennis, fitness, social activities, great dining and a vibrant calendar of events – from dive-in movies and charity golf tournaments to holiday gatherings to themed epicurean celebrations. Since first opening our doors in 1975, Trophy Club Country Club has provided a private, relaxed and safe family environment where our Members have been able to spend quality time with one another.

In 1975, Ben Hogan, in collaboration with professional architect Joe Lee, started the initial design of our Hogan course. Joe Lee did the overall routings and Ben detailed the playing areas. He even went as far as to personally mark all the trees that were to be removed before work started, he was committed to his vision of creating an exciting course for golfers at all levels to enjoy. Today our Hogan course is described by our Members as challenging, innovative, and a rewarding escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Trophy Club, originally named because of its intention to house all of Ben Hogan's trophies, was designed to honor Hogan’s profound influence on the game. Hogan's nine career professional major championships tie him with Gary Player for fourth all-time, trailing only Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Walter Hagen. He is one of only five players to have won all four majors: the Master's Tournament, The Open Championship, the U.S. Open, and the PGA Championship. Trophy Club continues to honor Ben Hogan and his impact on the game of golf, on and off the course.

In 2008, the second of the two 18-hole championship golf courses was named The Whitworth Course to honor retired LPGA golfer Kathy Whitworth, who was a long-time Trophy Club resident. Kathy Whitworth holds the record for the most tour victories by any professional golfer, male or female, and our Club houses a majority of the 88 trophies from those victories. You can find her trophies in the main dining room, affectionately known as The Whit, along with photos and personal mementos from her exceptional career in golf.

The golf environment of our indoor simulator may be virtual, but the exhilaration is as real as it gets. Here at The Swing Suite, you can sharpen your swing as advanced technology immerses you in the moment — or work on your short game in our separate indoor putting space. There are many benefits to practicing with an indoor golf simulator. The weather here in the Trophy Club/ Southlake area can be unpredictable, with our indoor golf simulator you have the opportunity to practice your swing and play a round of golf no matter what the weather is like outside. Our indoor golf simulator is also incredibly convenient, positioned close to our bar and dining area, you’re never too far from a mid-round snack or beverage.

Members at Trophy Club Country Club also love the customizable settings as well as the data-tracking capabilities of our indoor golf simulator. Choose a course based on your skill level and enjoy watching your techniques improve in real time. Our simulator provides data on your swing, ball speed, and many other metrics designed to help you improve your golf game.

Job Summary

The Manager of Player Development partners with the Head Golf Professional and is responsible for creating a culture of improvement at the Club to generate increased levels of participation in social practice and learning programs amongst Members, prospective Members and golfers to increase member value and appeal of the Club. The goal is improved retention, increasing participation and contributing to the development of a more vibrant and enjoyable golf community.

Day-to-Day

• Play golf with members 
• Management of a personal care group of allocated golfers responsible for their retention, activation, and participation.
• Execution of player development activities (this includes coaching, engagement events, golf with members, swing assessments, etc).
• Creation and management of a new membership pipeline including management of the conversion to member.
• Improvement of golfers playing performance through coaching and fitting.
• Execute and manage junior, adult, new golfer, and social coaching programs with minimum numbers participating.
• Execute and manage active marketing events.
• Supervision of Player Development Professionals and any other resources participating within the scope of player development to deliver and execute player development activities (i.e. coaching, active marketing events and engagements, non-traditional golf events such as a short-game challenge, etc.).
• Management and mentorship of Player Development Professionals and any other Professional staff allocated to player development tasks.

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion preferred.
• Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.
• 5+ years as Golf Professional.
• College degree preferred.
• Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Possess a passion for providing high quality Member service and commitment to exceeding expectations.

Compensation

Salary: $18 to -$25 per hour

Lesson Commissions: $30k to $50k or more

Other Commissions: up to $10k to play golf with members
