$10,000 Sign On Bonus available!

Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders.

Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services

Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
Processes the images for radiologist review.
Follows radiation safety procedures
Communicates patient information relative to procedure purpose, description and duration prior to beginning examination. Follows up on patient’s questions in a timely manner,

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Program - Required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Skills
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved American Heart Association training center is required within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved American Heart Association training center required within 6 months of employment.

Licenses:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (NM) or certified with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). New graduates who are registry eligible are welcome and must acquire valid registration within 12 months of hire date.
