We are offering a $25,000.00 sign on bonus for a twenty four (24) month commitment of full time employment.

We are currently offering a housing allowance of $1000.00 for twelve months, upon relocation.

This FT neonatal nurse practitioner position obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Documents patient care performed, assessments made, and orders given. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and care. Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions, including use of prescriptive authority and referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Provide counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health and wellness, treatment options, and community resources. Provides care in the context of promoting age- and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision making, and the right to self-determination.

Job Requirements

Minimum education:

Graduate of a program in discipline required

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications:

Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)

Ability to perform essential job functions. Current RN and NP licensure in New Mexico. Licensure/recognition by the appropriate state agencies. Prescriptive Authority by the appropriate state agency, as may be required for practice. Specialty organization certification preferred (or required, is so specified by state.) Current NRP certifications are required. Must be credentialed by Los Alamos Medical Center.
