Lab Assistant
Strong interaction skills with medical center staff, physicians, and patients. Knowledge of laboratory disciplines and tests, specimen processing, charting, computer experience, filing. Performs venipunctures and other duties as assigned. Provides service to patients across the lifespan including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Medical Assistant
Provides clinical support to patients in the throughout the hospital. Provides continuity and coordination of care across the lifespan including newborns, children adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
Lab Assistant
Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
For positions with phlebotomy duties, completion of a formal Phlebotomy course or clinical experience in phlebotomy required. Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program helpful. Medical Terminology course or equivalent preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Minimum Experience: Clinical laboratory experience preferred. Computer skills a must/medical background helpful.
Medical Assistant
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: Two (2) years clinical office experience. Medical terminology, computer knowledge required.
Certification/Licensure: Possess a current MA certification.
For New hires: Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification.
