Job Description

The Research Data Analyst will support the CMG Custom Research team in executing primary research projects for CMG corporate and its properties in the radio and television industries. 

What you’ll be working on: Programming market research studies using our survey platform and providing quality control for custom multimedia web surveys that can include audio, video, and image components. Our programmers/analysts work on multiple projects in a typical week to create visually appealing surveys that feature user-friendly, responsive design. We work in a collaborative environment focusing on both design and function. Our programmers / data processing analysts also make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies to improve our product. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop, QC and field custom multimedia web surveys in a collaborative programming environment 
  • Consult with the project point person from another department on the technical requirements. 
  • Develop visually appealing, user-friendly, and dynamic multimedia surveys. 
  • Perform quality control on all factors relating to survey integrity: programming code, skip logic, survey appearance, data requirements and grammar. 
  • Works to resolve amendments during quality assurance/client testing phase. 
  • Meets programming timelines. 
  • Create programming templates to ensure efficiencies. 
  • Prepare surveys for deployment and work with the field service to execute the launch of each. 
  • Monitor data and respondent samples throughout the fielding period. 
  • Analyze and resolve any technical issues that arise during fielding or with final data. 
  • Provide project point person with final data when fielding is complete. 
  • Manage transformation of data sets. 
  • Perform quality control tests on projects from other developers for alignment with the survey specification document and consistency with in-house code standards. 
  • Teach, train, and mentor existing staff and new hires on programming and related technical skills 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Ability to work in a highly organized manner and proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines 
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and balance multiple projects. 
  • Strong attention to detail, must consistently meet technical and survey requirements with accuracy (quality control experience) 
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, as well as independently 
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent experience in a market research programming environment. 
  • Experience with commercial survey programming platform(s) (Qualtrics, Confirmit, or others) OR experience with web/application development with ASP.NET C# Web Forms. 
  • Competency with: 
    • JavaScript / jQuery 
    • HTML5 & CSS3 
    • SQL (MS SQL, MySQL) 
    • Microsoft Excel and Access 
    • Visual Basic (VBScript, VBA) is a plus
