JOB TITLE:                Manufacturing Technician

LOCATION NAME:   Sevierville, TN

REPORTS TO:          Production Supervisor

Possible Shifts:

Weekday Night - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Monday 6:50pm - 7:00am

Weekend Day - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and every other Monday 6:50am - 7:00pm

Weekend Night - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and every other Monday 6:50pm - 7:00am

PRIMARY FUNCTION:        

Responsible for the production of engine valves through machine operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Operate production equipment in accordance with process control plan and job safety analysis in order to meet safety, quality, customer requirements, and production requirements.
  • Achieve operating goals of work cell/area in all aspects of the manufacturing process, such as safety, quality throughput and cost.
  • Rotate job assignments as required.  Learn all operations in department through successful acquisition of skill-based training program consistent with scheduled time frame for such progression.
  • Actively participate in and attend meetings with team, kaizen, etc.
  • Read and comprehend written and numeric information, process drawings, gauges, SPC, etc., and understand total concept as it affects immediate and future outcomes.
  • Perform basic trouble shooting, maintenance, and repairs to equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required OR
  • Mechanical and/or electronics training OR
  • Technical/trade school
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
