Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Manager - Patch Management is to apply leadership, experience, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the availability and performance of endpoint systems.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all team assigned incidents and service request tickets are completed with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Management of assigned staff includes hiring, training, coaching, performance feedback, recommending and administering discipline, and scheduling; or managing business initiatives leveraging 3rd party resources (i.e., inter departmental, vendors, contractors).
  • Deploy the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for network patch management, distribution, and compliance.
  • Ensure that device patching is planned, assessed thoroughly, and deployed with minimum service disruption while meeting Information Technology and Cyber Security standards.
  • Work with inter-disciplinary teams for secure reliable system implementations and upgrades.
  • Validate success of deployment solutions and communicate updates to senior management.
  • Train, mentor, and collaborate with other departments to develop technology roadmaps.
  • Participate in process improvement activities to optimize the speed and quality of delivery services.
  • Deploy applications and security patches with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of deployment design, security and access standards, configurations, procedures and troubleshooting methods.
  • Troubleshoot client health and installation issues.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the configuration of complex maintenance windows to ensure minimal downtime to shared services and applications.
  • Understand and abide by Incident, Problem and Change management processes and procedures.
  • Create and deliver reports pertaining to endpoint security and compliance.
  • Safety is an essential function of this job.

Company Standards of Conduct

All The Venetian Resort Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • 21 years of age.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • 5 years of experience in system administration including knowledge of with the Windows registry, interaction of drivers within the OS, group policy processing and unattended (silent) installations of Windows operating systems.
  • 5 years of experience in SCCM to deploy Windows OS patches.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications preferred.
  • CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications preferred.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications preferred.
  • Experience with using Flexera Admin Studio, Install Shield, or other Enterprise Packaging Software.
  • Working knowledge of key Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes – Continuous Improvement, Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Service Request Management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
