Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of a Lithium Superintendent to join our Aluminum Extrusions business unit in Lafayette, IN.

Profile: The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for the 24/7 operation of the crews in their respective areas. 

Essential Functions: The Lithium Superintendent within AEX requires technical and interpersonal skills essential to teamwork.  General duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Accountability for Environmental, Health, and Safety results, productivity, improvements, employee development, maximizing the value of diversity, and customer delivery through implementation of Lean Manufacturing of Arconic Business Systems principles (including Daily Management, TPM, 5S, etc.).
  • Exhibits and drives world-class leadership.  Trains, mentors, and coaches supervisors and hourly employees in their area.
  • Responsible for managing hourly workforce and ensuring key roles and bottlenecks are adequately staffed.
  • Ensuring consistent implementation and execution of policies and systems in order to guarantee customer (internal and external) expectations are met at the lowest cost and always with safety at the forefront of every activity.
  • Ensuring the execution of any of the financials goals and expectations set for each respective year.
  • Responsibility for planning and sometimes leading Kaizens, TPM, and safety events in their areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience leading a production department(s) in a manufacturing environment
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
