POSITION SUMMARY:
The Intern, Population Health will be exposed to population health program and assist in the day-to-day operations of LifePoint Health's Population Health Strategy. This position is responsible for supporting initiatives through project management, data & analytics, and communication materials that emerge from LifePoint's Population Health strategy.
Program Structure:
Over the course of 3-5 months, Internship Students will provide operational and administrative support across multiple different value-based programs and initiatives that are currently ongoing at LifePoint Health. The Population Health Internship program will provide meaningful opportunities to expand knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Internship Students will be exposed to a wide variety of special projects and processes, with the ability to lead individual projects with an appropriate mentor. Additionally, the Internship Student is guided by their program director, who will work closely with their University’s departmental supervisor, as appropriate. Bi-weekly review will be held to discuss the intern’s work, projects, and new knowledge or skills learned.
The Internship experience will provide exposure and deepen their understanding of the healthcare industry within the Population Health space. Once the internship is completed, Internship Students will have an enhanced ability to communicate key terms and activities, as well as perform daily functions that aid Population Health activities.

Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
Education: Within one year of earning a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or Finance required. Or currently pursuing an advanced business degree.
