Job Summary

ADT is seeking a Jr. Graphic Designer for a paid internship position to support the marketing team's initiatives with graphic design requests. They will participate as an active member of our In-house Agency and will be exposed to all aspects of creative, including corporate design, email, direct mail, product marketing development, and digital design in a business environment. They should have a passion for their craft and a desire to learn brand and advertising design.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for the layout, design, and production of graphic design materials


• Create designs for social media, email, collateral, corporate communications while following our brand guidelines.


• Solicits and incorporates feedback on designs


• Understands and contributes to design ideas with the ADT brand and audiences in mind


• Works within project management software to manage multiple projects from concept to completion on time


• Communicates clearly and effectively with team members, writers, and project managers to achieve project objectives.


• Learns how the team uses results from previous marketing initiatives and tests to provide recommendations on future creative development


• Additional responsibilities will be developed in conjunction with the intern’s interests, skills, and desired learning areas.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed an Associates, a bachelor’s degree (Major) or MFA (Emphasis) in creative fields of Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or Media Design or similar certificates or similar work experience.


• Strong knowledge and capabilities in graphic editing software, i.e. Adobe Creative Suite


• Passion for branding and an understanding of brand identity systems


• Portfolio demonstrates your exceptional design, typography, and solid conceptual thinking skills.


• Demonstrate soft skills including creativity, empathy, adaptability, resourcefulness, openness to feedback, work ethic, and a general tendency to create and share positivity


• Must be able to work independently and follow the direction given by team members and creative directors

Skills:

• Highly skilled in graphic design, and visual design


• Good attention to detail and time management skills, and ability to work with quick turnaround times


• Open to feedback and willing to make changes in designs


• Communicates effectively orally and in writing


• Multimedia, photography and video skills a plus
