Job Description

      PARTNERSHIP WITH OPERATIONS

  • Drive plant KPI improvement via people and process
  • Align HR goals with production goals  
  • Participate in site GEMBA walks and ensure significant plant floor presence to enable a strong and visible connection to the manufacturing operations and its workforce. 
  • Ensure open lines of communication at all levels to be achieved by open-door policy, GEMBA walks, Town Hall and Round Table meetings
  • Predict and forecast future needs of the site aligned with business strategy, regulatory requirements, market dynamics and competitive landscape; develop and execute action plan based on perceived future needs
  • Employ root cause problem solving analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve people-related issues and foster continuous improvement, thus helping to solve the site’s biggest challenges
  • Engage with shop floor employees to identify PSIF & CI opportunities, fostering a safety-first culture & efficiency; rotate focus areas; take notes & follow-up thoroughly
  • Work with leaders to forecast short-term and long-term staffing needs based on production targets and projects; assess current skill sets against future business requirements; implement and monitor action plans

TALENT AND CAPABILITY BUILDING

  • Oversee the on-the-job training & onboarding processes for effective ramp-up of talent
  • Focus on continuously improving time-to-proficiency 
  • Monitor and manage multi-skill matrices (cross-training)
  • Collaborate with people leaders to identify meaningful actions to address skill gaps effectively
  • Assess talent, evaluate performance, develop future talent
  • Acquire, develop, advance and retain talent throughout the site

      DATA-  ACCURACY AND ANALYTICS

  • Review weekly data and trends related to HR metrics to identify patterns and areas for action planning
  • Audit SuccessFactors data for accuracy and ensure timely corrections to achieve 100% reliable data inputs
  • Implement tools and strategies to report and translate raw data into valuable business insights
  • Ensure payroll, policy and progressive disciplinary processes are administered timely

  • Align on strategic HR directives, exchange regional insights, synergize on best practices, and formulate individual or joint action plans

ENGAGEMENT & LABOR RELATIONS

  • Manage CBA, general labor relations, conflict resolution and engagement
  • Work with site leadership team to identify and remove barriers to engagement
  • Collaborate with local leadership to develop and drive meaningful engagement activities and actions
  • Advise management and propose appropriate recommendations on the implication and impact of employment issues, policy and/or legislation changes by keeping abreast of inputs on industry practice, government regulations, market dynamics, etc

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Human Resources with two (2) years Supervisory/Management experience
  • Experience with Labor Relations a plus
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local employment laws
