We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist. In this role you will provide overall generalist support to attain plant departmental goals and objectives. You will provide human relations support for all employees in the facility.

You’ll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide assistance and support to the HR Department
  • Process weekly Hourly Payroll
  • Recruits for hourly and salary positions within the plant.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation.
  • New hire processing of pre-employment screening and records.
  • Prepares and maintains reports to include headcount, attendance reports, and employee lists.
  • Coordinate employee events.
  • Prepare counseling forms for attendance.
  • Oversee hourly and salary performance appraisal system. 
  • Prepare data for budget of human resources operations.
  • Administer shoe and safety glass program.
  • Assist in preparation for monthly Value Stream meetings.
  • Prepares separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • May be given certain authority within job scope by Manager
  • All employees will abide by the plant’s safety policy, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISO 14001 standard.  An employee should report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.
  • Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree or equivalent years experience. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.3-5 years of experience preferred. 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience with the use of computers including the Microsoft suite mandatory.
  • Strong analytical aptitude needed.
  • Must be familiar with employment law and application of legal principles.
